Tween Takeover

Do you have a tween? Who knew that it would be so hard to shop for ages 7-16? Finding clothes that fit and are age-appropriate is hard not to mention it can be a draining experience for both tween and parent. Clara b. is a small boutique located in Richmond VA dedicated to providing fresh tween styles for girls ages 7-16. Throughout my time working at Clara b., I have learned a lot of valuable information about the Fashion industry and specifically childrenswear. Childrenswear had always been an untouched territory for me, but now I have a newfound respect and passion for this sector. From buying to visual merchandising to selling I’ve gained confidence, skill, and a tremendous amount of knowledge. I can credit that to my boss, mentor and overall role model Sarah. Sarah has always believed in me to do this job and sparked my love for Clara b. and all it has to offer. I am forever grateful to her as she inspires me to do more for the tween market and hopefully leap into a new chapter together.

As a student soon to be entering a professional setting full-time, I have been learning how to present and promote my brand to showcase the best version of myself online. I am dedicated to the growth and success of our brand. Through social media and building connections, our brand is gradually reaching a wider audience. Here I have highlighted tips that I’ve learned and used to promote your brand.

Customer-oriented focus :

Establish a unique shopping experience that larger name brands cannot offer. It is vital to build relationships with customers to establish long-term consumerism

Digital storytelling:

Social media platforms, such as Instagram and TikTok have advanced target audience selection options. With the right marketing strategies and uses of all components such as hashtags, locations, aesthetics, and amount of activity, your message and brand will be reached by the desired audience.

Transparency:

Being transparent about the brand story, manufacturing, and clothing details establishes trust from the consumer. This allows your audience to connect with your brand and be content with their decision.

collaborations:

Brand collaborations are a great way to expand the customer database creating benefits for both or all brands involved. Clara b. has had several with a local permanent jewelry company and continues to support all the businesses on our block!

pop-ups:

Having pop-ups in different locations is another way to promote your brand to new audiences. Though the tween market is very specific, Clara b. does pop up at different local schools to get our name out.
